The April Business Meeting was held on 3rd April when updates were given on recent past events, forthcoming events and other topical items.

Recent past events included:

Trial at Girsby on 16th March won by Joe Morgan followed by John Webb and a 3-way tie for third place between Brian Crosby, Rob Green and Paul Harrison.

Club night on 20th March when Area Representative Stan Bartle attended. Stan held a short discussion on Club affairs and then, with his wife Moira, held a timed quiz to identify engineering and motor cycle parts. This was most enjoyable and our thanks go to both Stan and Moira.

Green Lane Run on 30th March when Dave, Brian and Steve enjoyed a day on the North Yorks Moors. Dave came to grief with an aquatic display in a waist-deep puddle. His friends decided against joining him in an early bath and rescued him using remote-access equipment – a rope. In part-compensation, the daffodils were in full bloom in Farndale.

Future events from your calendar include:

  • Trial at Scarborough on 19th April
  • Wetherby Run 20th April
  • Classic Bike Show on 26th/27th April
  • Relay Rally on 4th May. Section check points at the Club and High Force.
  • Wilf’s Touring Week on 12th - 16th May.
  • Regs are now available for the Quaker Run on 18th May.
  • The Trip to Holland confirmed as 5th - 9th June going from Hull to Rotterdam.

Enough activity there to suit most tastes, I think, so leathers on and we’ll see you on the road.
