The February Business Meeting was held on 7th February.

Recent events have included:

Trial at Swainby on 20th January won by Henry Suddles with Tony Frost and Paul Harrison 2nd and 3rd.

Quiz set by Eric and Neil on 24th January. This was an excellent quiz, won by the ‘Naughty Boys’ team, which only proves that guesswork can prevail over knowledge.  Neil sold a number of books and tools on the night and all were in excellent condition and good value.

Green Lane run on 10th February when those stalwarts Brian and Dave with their chum Steve covered some 120 miles in Swaledale, Wensleydale, Coverdale and Nidderdale.

Trial at Chop Gate on 17th February won by Howard Bainbridge followed by Colin Jackson and John Webb.

Domino Knockout organised by Bill Birks on February 21st club night. Fred Gowton was the winner  (yes him again) with Viv Tubby second.  Thanks Bill.

Events for the diary include:
  • Looking to the future, there will be a Green Lane run on March 2nd – contact Brian Smith for details – and on the same day there will be a trial at Kirkby and a Car Hill Climb at Ironbanks near Richmond.
  • The Classic Bike Show will be held at Stafford on 26th – 27th April and Burrell’s will be running their usual coaches on the Saturday – Details from 01833 650638.
  • We are still intending to organise a trip to Holland this summer and details will be forthcoming when available.

Finally, the nights may be getting lighter but the days are getting colder so turn on the heating in the shed and sort out those projects.
