Welcome to our regular readers and new chums. The March Business Meeting was held on 6th March with a good turnout.

Recent events have included:

Green Lane Run on 24th February when four of the usual culprits were out in the Yorkshire Dales. Brian had an eventful day I understand.

Trial at Kirkby on 2nd March won by Nigel Smith followed by Colin Jackson and Richard Bainbridge.

Trial at Girsby on 16th March won by Joe Morgan, with John Webb in 2nd place and a three-way tie for 3rd between Brian Crosby, Rob Green and Paul Harrison.

Club night on 20th March when Stan Bartle who, as you will know, is our Area Representative of VMCC came along. Stan held a short discussion on Club matters and then, with his wife Moira, ran a very well-received quiz identifying engineering and motor-cycling items of interest. There was a good attendance on the night and our thanks go to Stan and Moira.

Green Lane run on 30th March

Other items of interest are:

  • Volunteers needed for marshalling duties at the September Beamish Trial.
  • The date of the Chairman’s Run changed to 3rd August.
  • The date of Brian’s Weekend changed to 9th/10th August.
  • The Section web-site is now back in action with most items restored. Thanks go to Mike Carruthers and his son Richard for their efforts.
  • We now seem to be homing in on 5th - 9th June as the dates for the trip to Holland. We’ll keep you posted on developments.
