The 2005 Championship was won by Eric Londesbrough, who finished comfortably ahead of the chasing pack and receives the GEM Trophy at the South Durham Presentation night in January.

With points being awarded for finishing in the top ten, fifty competitors scored points with the top six being:

5. D. Marwood - 18 points
6. B. Birks - 17 points
