As time marches on and my legs seem to get shorter and weaker enter my latest addition to the flock.
A 1980 Honda (what else?) CD200TA 200cc twin which I enjoyed Mikes latest excellent Anniversary Run recently. 280lb wet through, electric and kick start and I recorded 86 mpg. That is a days ridding on just over a gallon of petrol. Even Kelvin was tempted to press my button. If us old un's are to go on for ever annoying the so called younger generation we might as well enjoy it.

Cheers Steve
A good all round machine,
I had a1967 CD 175 in 1972, travelling to Hebburn Technical College. I used to average only about 60mpg due to flogging it, with a heavy mate on the pillion. It was only as economical as the Triumph,T100A,500cc, which I part-ex't it for. However due to its pistons being one up/one down it was very smooth, you could ride at 20MPH in top (4th)gear without any jerkiness in the transmission.
Thanks for your comments. This model is a 360 deg twin ( both piston rise and fall together) but is still pretty vibration free, but funnily enough I have camshaft problems at the moment which I need to look into. Otherwise it is good as gold.
