Latest Covid-19 News  - Road Map

Some tentative good news for a change

Following the Prime Minister's announcement today (22nd February) Here is a summary of the intended road map to end lock-down. Click Here

Provisional 2021 calendar is now available here.  Some revisions will be necessary as the release from lockdown progresses as planned (we hope) We will update the calendar as soon as event details have been decided or changed.

Due to the pandemic the date for the Stokesly show has changed to Saturday 7th August. For the first time they are having a special motorbike arena.

The latest zoom meeting held on Thursday 29th April was attended by the usual motley crew with Wilf Banks joining us for the first time

A few things were discussed, nothing very important, the highlight being Angela's continuing "What have you done in the garage today" or in some cases shed.  My response was "nowt" apart from getting the bike out to go for a ride and putting it back after the ride - twice!  Pateley Bridge the first and Swaledale the second. No rain either. Tony Barnet was playing with his VW clutch, and Angela told us about her experience of knealing with Brian in the garage, something pink was involved with two large holes, the mind boggled until it was revealed that an annealing process was being carried out on a cylinder head gasket.

After that Tom Norman told us a complicated story which has been completely erased from memory - must have fallen alsleep or something but he intends to write a book on it - or something.

We intend to organise some socially distanced social runs in the next few weeks, including a couple of social runs to take the place of the Quaker Run which cannot be run this time.  These are all dependent on the weather behaving itself.  They may be organised at short notice, but will attempt to contact members who may be interested.

The next and possibly the last Zoom meeting will be held on 13th May.  We will resume our proper meetings starting on the 27th May at the Cricket Club.
