Beamish Trophy Trial 2020

COVID-19 UPDATE

We are indeed living through ‘interesting times’. Everywhere we look events are being cancelled and our movements are becoming more curtailed.

The 48th Beamish Trophy Trial is planned to run on Sunday 20th September 2020.  With the speed at which events are moving, that is quite a long way ahead.  My purpose in writing is to let you know that at this point in time we hope that the situation has improved such that the event can go ahead. We are continuing to obtain the necessary permissions and permits but at the same time we are constantly reviewing the Coronavirus situation.

We intend to hold to our existing timetable and will therefore be contacting entrants by 24th April to confirm entries. However we will not be asking for entry fees at this time as the last thing we want to do is to have to make 150 repayments. (Treasurer Smith might have recourse to expletives were I to ask him) Instead, at such time as we can definitely confirm that the Trial is going ahead, probably by the end of August, we will contact you again requesting entry fees.

I hope this is all clear but if you do have any queries don’t hesitate to get in touch.

In the meantime I wish good health to you and your nearest and dearest.

Tom Norman

Entries are now open for the 48th Beamish Trophy Trial on Sunday 20 September 2020

The Beamish Trophy Trial is regularly over-subscribed so we have once again, adopted a system as follows:

  • Entry Requests should be submitted by 18 March 2020.

  • We will then write to you confirming whether your entry has been successful and requesting payment by 24 April 2020.

  • We then ask that you return your acceptance and payment by 19 June 2020.

  • Final Instructions will be posted to you by 11 September 2020

  • You will collect route cards and riding numbers at the start of the event on 20 September 2020.

  • Results and badges will be sent to you by 9 October 2020.

The Regulations can be opened by clicking here.  Please make sure you have read them.  They will tell you if your machine is eligible for the event, the different types of tyre permitted and the awards.

This year online entries will be accepted. Please
click here to open the online Entry Request
If you are unable to complete the Online Entry Request we can post a paper copy on receipt of a stamped, addressed envelope.

Hopefully all is clear, but if it is not please contact us by email at Beamishtt@live.co.uk
